We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Digital Creative & Communications Writer plays who will be responsible for securing, retaining and growing funding and brand awareness for Stepping Stone House via relevant, accurate, creative and brand aligned communications. This is a full-time role based in Rockdale, where YOU can grow and make a difference.
About Stepping Stone House
Stepping Stone House is a not-for-profit charity that provides accommodation and personal development for children and young people aged 12-24 years old who through no fault of their own find themselves homeless, at risk of homelessness or unable to live at home. We have a foundation of building resilience through outdoor education and activities.

Key responsibilities include:
· Writing and designing a suite of aligned communications to attract new funders, donors, event participants and volunteers for Stepping Stone House. This includes (but is not limited to) fundraising appeals, quarterly newsletters, email marketing, event communications and social media posts and stories
· Assisting to elevate the brand awareness of Stepping Stone House and our programs to attract new funders, reach new audiences and retain existing donors and partners
· Contributing to the planning, creation, execution and measurement of fundraising appeals under the direction of the Fundraising & Partnerships Manager
· Planning, writing, designing, delivering and measuring an annual, organic social media program for Stepping Stone House and our key fundraising events
· Assisting with internal team communications
· Designing creative assets for social media, internal and external events, fundraising appeals and campaigns
· Curating and managing Stepping Stone House’s creative asset library including case studies, images, videos and other media
· Ensuring best practice and compliance with all required communications legislation
· Working with the Fundraising & Partnerships Manager to integrate data silos and build a high quality, segmented set of first party data for Stepping Stone House
· Working cohesively and collaboratively with the Fundraising & Partnerships Team and our external fundraising and digital marketing partners
· Undertaking on-going learning and research to provide subject matter expertise in the digital communications space
· Contributing to new initiatives and ideas to secure additional sources of funding for Stepping Stone House
Knowledge, Qualification & Experience:
• Demonstrated high standard of written communication skills, including grammar and spelling
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to write in different styles for varying audiences
• Demonstrated ability to design creative and brand aligned digital assets
• Proven decision-making skills
• Time-management skills and demonstrated ability to work to a deadline
• Creative and analytical thinker with the ability to manage multiple projects
• High level of administrative and organisational qualities with attention to detail
• High level of competency in digital design programs including Canva and the Adobe Suite
• Experience with email marketing platforms including Campaign Monitor, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar
• Experience with social media planning platforms including Hootsuite, Falcon or similar
• Exposure to CRMs including Salesforce, HubSpot or similar
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows based computer applications
• Sound understanding of Microsoft Excel and using Excel formulas
Desirable but not essential
• Fundraising campaign or event experience
• Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Journalism, Social Work, Psychology, Arts, Business, Marketing, Communications, Social Sciences)
