Full Time Hours | Upwards of $47ph + Super | West Gippsland

Hays Gippsland is currently recruiting for a skilled and adaptable Accountant to support a well-regarded business in Drouin during a period of leave. This role calls for someone who can work independently and confidently manage responsibilities with limited supervision. For the right person, there is genuine potential for a longer-term opportunity, depending on performance and evolving business needs.

The successful candidate will be based in our client's Drouin office, working Monday to Friday on a temporary assignment of approximately 9 weeks. Availability from mid to late August through to at least 31st October is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accounting support across core finance functions
  
• Assist with budgeting, reporting, reconciliations, and compliance tasks
  
• Contribute to month-end processes and ensure data accuracy
  
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support smooth financial operations
  
• Additional accounting and administration duties may be assigned based on business needs
  

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Strong technical accounting skills
  
• Previous experience in a similar role
  
• Industry background in manufacturing or industrial sectors is highly regarded
  
• High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions focused approach
  
• Proven ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment
