About the Opportunity

Due to this ongoing transformation, we’re seeking an experienced Company Accountant to join the high-performing finance team on a 9-month contract, starting immediately.

You’ll work closely with the Financial Controller during a pivotal period, providing support across a broad range of accounting and reporting responsibilities.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role that requires a detail-driven and technically strong accountant—someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident rolling up their sleeves to get the job done.

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financials, reporting, and process improvements. Key responsibilities include:

• Cashflow forecasting & accrued expenses – work closely with AP to ensure liabilities are accurately captured (AP experience highly valued)
• Month-end journals – including accruals, prepayments, payroll, depreciation, leasing, and FX revaluations
• Balance sheet reconciliations – especially intercompany loans and all accounts excluding inventory
• Project cost allocation – break down and re-code costs across multiple, complex project codes
• Tax compliance – calculate and lodge GST, payroll tax, and FBT
• Reporting – extract and format reports in Excel (experience with Jet Reports or Excel add-ins is a plus)
• Ad-hoc support – assist with entity consolidations and inventory valuation (not responsible for ownership)

Who You Are

• CPA qualified with strong month-end close and reporting experience
• Available immediately and comfortable working independently
• A strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with AP, payroll, and broader finance teams
• Experienced in multi-entity or project-based environments
• Unfazed by evolving systems or patchy processes—you bring structure to chaos
• Experience using Dynamics/Business Central ERP or similar.
• Must have access to a car
