Robert Half is currently recruiting an experienced Senior Financial Accountant who, working alongside the Financial Controller, will assist in the delivery of the year-end financial reporting for our NFP client. Based in Melbourne's CBD, this three-month temporary role could lead to additional opportunities.

The organisation is highly respected throughout Victoria, with an established and high-performing leadership team.

The Role

Working alongside a professional and experienced leadership team this role will involve:

• Assisting with the timely and accurate production of the organisation's year-end financial reports
• Complex general reconciliations
• Ensuring accuracy of the organisation's payroll accounts
• Preparation of the organisation's cashflow report
• Assisting with Board reporting
• Assisting the Financial Controller with the EOY audit queries
• Overseeing of payroll including ensuring accuracy of the related general ledger accounts
• Ensuring all financial management systems (including governance policies, procurement policies, risk management and statutory compliance) are in place and adhered to

Your Profile

To be successful you will have proven experience in a similar role with the following attributes being highly advantageous:

• Strong financial accounting background
• CA/CPA qualified
• Ability to generate meaningful and readily understood reports for senior management
• Large ERP system experience (SAP/Oracle/Technology One)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounting standards
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external parties
