Operations Manager - Commercial Cleaning

Commercial cleaning experience is essential

$90K base plus super + $20K car allowance

Lead our service delivery in South Coast NSW and Canberra

The Role

As a field-based leader, your focus on people and relationships will be crucial to the success of this role. You will guide your team and drive portfolio performance, ensuring the delivery of service excellence to your portfolio of clients across Wollongong, Nowra, Canberra, and its surrounding areas.

While managing your team and client group’s daily operational needs, you will nurture positive stakeholder relationships, exceed our clients’ expectations, and ensure we add value to our client portfolio. A solid understanding of commercial cleaning operations, relationship building, budgets and costs, service delivery, and stakeholder management is vital for success in this role.

In this hands-on role, you will:

Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with our clients, internal teams, and contractors.

Oversee operational deliverables and achieve KPIs (both individual and team).

Lead a small team of Area Managers and cleaners.

Manage both direct labour and service delivery partners.

Foster a high-performing culture within your team.

Coach and train your team to achieve service excellence.

Manage and meet the expectations of our clients and contracts.

Visit client sites to conduct regular quality audits.

Overnight accommodation may be required occasionally

Address escalated service delivery issues.

Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will be a suitably experienced individual who has:

Proven experience in a similar role

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

An eye for detail

The ability to build relationships and rapport quickly

Strong organisational and administrative skills

A driver's licence and a reliable car

Previous management-level work experience in the cleaning industry is a must

A Working with Children and National Criminal History check is required for this role

All candidates for this role must have at least NV1, Australian Government Security clearance (or be willing to obtain)
