About the Role
Reporting to the Print Manager we are seeking a proactive and motivated, Team Leader – Print to manage our night shift printing operation at our Regency Park site in South Australia. You will be responsible for the night shift within flexographic printing in producing Surface and Reverse Printing Rewind.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
Make technical and maintenance decisions concerning the printers and related equipment to ensure products meet customer requirements and product specifications
Ensure that quality requirements and product supply to customers are achieved at the most economical level and optimum plant performance
Train and develop staff for printing, printer maintenance and related activities
Initiate improvement in printing production activities
Ensure night shift Print employees fully comply with all food safety/quality procedures or policies
Review food safety/quality records or other printing production/maintenance information and initiate effective action to correct/prevent defects
Ensure Printer maintenance activities are completed to minimize equipment breakdowns and problems
Minimise waste, maximise machine efficiency
Ensure that Pro Pac Packaging Health & Safety policy and associated policies and procedures are effectively implemented to minimise risk and to provide employees with a safe working environment and safe systems of work
To be successful in the role, you will require:
Printing Trade qualifications or equivalent experience in flexographic printing
Well-developed communication, motivational and leadership skills
Sound knowledge of industrial Flexible packaging equipment and processes
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislative requirements
Excellent working knowledge and problem solving of flexographic printing
Previous Lead Printer experience required
The ability to work to tight deadlines
