A leading and trusted IT managed services provider (MSP), is seeking a capable Level 2 Support Engineer to support the onsite IT environment at a private school in Brisbane CBD location.
You will provide hands-on support for end users, devices, and systems, while also assisting with daily IT operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a hybrid onsite-offsite support model, where you’ll also liaise with offsite teams handling infrastructure, cloud, and specialist applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 onsite technical support to staff and students.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to endpoints, user access, printing, and classroom technology.
- Support day-to-day IT operations, asset management, and incident response.
- Escalate complex issues to offsite vendor's teams (infrastructure, systems, network, and cloud).
- Assist with device deployments, patching, software installs, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Document tickets, resolutions, changes, and system information accurately.
- Collaborate with the onsite stakeholders and cross functional teams on IT priorities, risks, and minor projects.
Key Requirements:
- Windows desktops and laptops
- Microsoft Defender for endpoint security
- Azure Entra ID / Active Directory
- Hyper-V virtualisation
- Aruba Networking, Switching and Wireless
- Fortinet firewalls
- HPE Compute & Storage
- Proven experience in a Level 2 IT support role, ideally in a school or MSP environment.
- Hands-on experience supporting Windows environments, Office 365, and endpoint protection.
- Experience and technical knowledge across infrastructure, networks, systems administration, and security such as:
- Ability to follow escalation procedures and communicate effectively with offsite teams
- Friendly, professional, and service-oriented approach to supporting a school user base
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
Contract Rate: $550-$650 per Day (incl. super)
