A leading and trusted IT Managed Services Provider (MSP), is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead the onsite IT function at a private school in Brisbane CBD location.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily IT operations, driving projects, managing support staff, and acting as the key liaison between the school and their technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage onsite IT operations, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and responsive.
• Represent IT in school leadership meetings, committees, and strategic discussions.
• Oversee and deliver IT projects, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage IT risks, compliance, and alignment with security best practices.
• Liaise with cross functional teams for escalations related to infrastructure, systems, security, and cloud.
• Supervise and support the onsite Level 1/2 IT technicians.
• Ensure effective operation of all key systems, including the school’s LMS, endpoint fleet, and core infrastructure.
• Provide clear reporting and updates to school leadership and MSP account management.

3. Microsoft Defender for endpoint security
4. Aruba networking
5. HPE compute & storage (3-node cluster with hybrid Entra/Azure integration)
6. TASS (school LMS/system)

• Proven experience in an IT Manager or Senior IT leadership role, ideally within a school or education environment
• Strong understanding of IT operations, service delivery, and stakeholder management
• Demonstrated ability to lead small onsite teams and coordinate with offsite support
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence non-technical stakeholders
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage both BAU and strategic activities
• Technical knowledge across infrastructure, networks, systems administration, and security such as:
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, especially in non-technical environments
• Ability to take ownership, work independently, and drive both operational and strategic outcomes.

Contract Rate: $800-$900 per Day (incl. super)
