  • Clerk Grade 3/4 Salary ($84,659 - $92,701 pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

As a valued member of the Workforce Engagement Team within the Organisation Development & Training Unit, you will deliver high-level clerical, administrative and customer service support, with a primary focus on the bulk recruitment of Youth Officers. You will also contribute to the effective operation of Organisational Development and Training (OD&T) systems and processes.

You'll work closely within a dedicated group of four to support the bulk recruitment of Youth Officers. Your role will involve coordinating updates, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth communication throughout the recruitment process. You will also provide essential support to the additional functions in Workforce Engagement and other teams within the Organisation Development & Training (OD&T) Unit - particularly our Custodial Training Team - by helping to maintain high-quality training materials and records.

You'll play a key part in ensuring information and resources are delivered accurately and on time, contributing to the success of workforce engagement and our training programs.

Due to the nature of the work the role is primarily based at the Yasmar Training Centre in Haberfield, where most of your time will be spent. Occasional travel may be required.

What you'll do

  • Provide administrative and customer service support for bulk recruitment of Youth Officers.
  • Maintain accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Liaise with diverse stakeholders including applicants, vendors, contractors, and staff across Youth Justice and DCJ.
  • Handle sensitive and complex matters with discretion, sound judgement and confidentiality.
  • Provide word-processing and data entry and draft correspondence such as, letters, agenda, minutes, reports, briefing notes and related documentation on behalf of the manager and unit, in line with departmental approved style guidelines including retrieving and collating complex documents and information.
  • Respond to enquiries and provide timely information and referral services.
  • Coordinate procurement, printing, training materials, travel, meetings, events, and room bookings.
  • Manage and maintain various records, databases and systems within the team and unit.
  • Track and manage correspondence, monitor supplies and equipment, and support diary and travel arrangements for the manager.
  • Support recruitment, workforce engagement, and training projects as needed.
  • Interpret and apply relevant procedures, policies, and standards.
