About the Job

• Full time position Monday to Friday, 8:30AM – 5:00PM.
• Office location could not be better for public transport – located right about the bustling Fortitude Valley Train Station. This role is initially based full-time in the office, with the opportunity for flexible working arrangements following the successful completion of probation.
• Be the often first point of contact for recoveries – engaging with third parties, insurers or vehicle hirers to collect details about incidents.
• Engage in conversation about liability disputes, using your exceptional conflict management skills.
• Process administrative support such as recovery deposits, invoice payments, proof of loss management and other tasks on an as needs basis.
• Follow clear escalation guidelines, passing complex recovery conversations onto senior staff members.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as senior claims and recoveries consultants, often assisting in workload management.
• Opportunity for you to develop into a senior recoveries position over time.

About you

• Experience in motor insurance claims and recoveries, or general insurance with the ability to get up to speed quickly.
• Background in recoveries or debt collection is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of contracts, liability, and negligence - ideally you bring at least 2 out of 3 of these skills.
• Confident in handling breaches of contract and applying contractual thinking to recovery scenarios.
• Excellent conflict resolution and phone communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management, both internal and external.
• Tech-savvy with quick adaptability to new systems and tools.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment
