The opportunity

Designer Transport Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and driven VIC Logistics & Transport Manager to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing all logistics and transportation operations within our Victorian facilities, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods and products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimise supply chain performance and meet delivery timelines
• Manage a team of logistics coordinators and drivers, providing leadership, training and performance management
• Oversee the planning and scheduling of transportation activities, including route optimisation and fleet utilisation
• Liaise with suppliers, carriers and customers to coordinate the seamless flow of goods
• Monitor and report on key performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations and safety standards
• Collaborate with the broader management team to identify and implement process improvements

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior logistics or transport management role, preferably within the manufacturing or distribution industries
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations, fleet management and supply chain optimisation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
• Proficient in using logistics management software and data analysis tools
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
• Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field is highly desirable
