Are you an experienced hospitality professional ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a motivated and hands on Venue Manager to lead our operations at one of our smaller vibrant and community focused clubs. Hallidays Sports Club is a small coastal venue which overlooks the scenic coastline of Black Head and Red Head in Hallidays Point. We currently have 12 friendly staff and 1000+ members. It has great facilities including a bistro which is contracted out, outside seating area and bowling greens. With 29 EGMS and a loyal patron base, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, service-driven environment. About the role:
As Venue Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the club, leading a small team and ensuring a seamless customer experience. You will oversee gaming, bar operations, staff management, compliance and customer service, while driving profitability and maintaining a strong local reputation within the community.
Key responsibilities but not limited to:
Oversee all club operations including gaming, bar, and general hospitality services
Strong leadership skills and the ability to encourage a positive culture among staff
Proven delivery of exceptional customer service
Inspire, develop and manage staff performance and growth
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and licensing requirements
Manage staff rosters, budgets, P & L, stock control, and cash handling
Drive patron engagement and support promotional activities
Report to the Group Operations Manager on KPIs and business performance
Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders
Display high levels of professional integrity and ethical conduct
Have sound knowledge of club related legislation and compliance requirements
About you:
Minimum 5 years of experience in the hospitality or club industry, with proven supervisory experience at a minimum or club/pub management.
Strong understanding of gaming, bar, tab, keno, operations and general hospitality services.
Exceptional people management and communication skills
High attention to detail and organisational ability
Excellent computer skills
Hold a current ARCG and Driving Licence
Willing and able to gain your NSW Licensee Course, FSS, First Aid and Criminal Check
Highly regarded experience but not essential:
Familiarity with Tanda rostering system
Experience using SwiftPOS point-of-sale
Knowledge of Ebet gaming system
