The Strathpine West State School Parents & Citizens Association (SWSS P&C Association) is seeking a motivated and capable Operations Manager to oversee our key community-run services—including Club SWOSH (Before & After School Care), the Uniform Shop, and the Tuckshop.

Rate: $35 per hour

Hours: 15 hours per week

What You’ll Do

In this dynamic leadership role, you’ll manage the day-to-day operations of our businesses, ensure compliance with financial and administrative requirements, and work closely with the Strathpine West State School P&C Executive to support our school community’s evolving needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Overseeing the daily operations of Club SWOSH, the Tuckshop, and the Uniform Shop

Managing payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and budgeting

Coordinating recruitment, onboarding, and staff support

Identifying opportunities to grow revenue and improve service delivery

Ensuring compliance with Education Queensland policies and legislation

Supporting and empowering volunteers and promoting P&C initiatives

What You’ll Bring

Experience in operations, administration, or small business management

Strong organisational and leadership skills

A collaborative, community-first mindset

Budgeting and bookkeeping knowledge (or willingness to learn)

Experience in the not-for-profit, education and or child care sector (desirable)
