About the role

Temporary part time opportunity to provide high level support and information / guidance to the Administration and Clinical staff within the Program. This position will deliver client focussed administrative management and achieve a high level of performance in the demanding environment.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide efficient, effective, and confidential administrative support to members of the Cardiothoracic Surgery team incorporating established priorities, task methodology and work practices to achieve results in line with the corporate goals of the programs.
  • Prepare, update & distribute meeting agendas to appropriate committee members, take accurate minutes of meetings and disseminate to committee members.
  • Effectively liaise with employees at all levels and disciplines within the organisation, external medical practitioners, government departments and the public in relation to the core business of the Program
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction to build and maintain an effective working relationship and networks with the stakeholders including staff members and members of the public.
  • Manage the collection of medical and administrative officer timesheets (AVACs) and leave applications including annual leave and study leave. Liaise with Payroll Office and medical officers in relation to any pay queries.
