Role Highlights: This is a short-term contract opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join a fast-growing, well-known Australian household brand. It's an excellent chance for someone with limited Australian experience to step into their first local role and take full ownership of the end-to-end accounts payable function for a recently acquired part of the business. Role Overview

Reporting into the Accounts Payable Manager, this Senior Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for the preparation of ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining supplier records, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end close activities. You will play a key role in managing relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, resolving queries, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This position requires strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit credit applications for new suppliers
• Log and maintain invoice records in Excel
• Manage and monitor the Accounts Payable mailbox
• Set up new supplier accounts in D365, Lightyear, and Xero
• Assist with invoice processing in Lightyear
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve queries and follow up on documentation
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Partner with a range of stakeholders throughout the supply chain process, retail network, operations, merchandising and marketing teams.
