About the Role:
Working closely with the Business Manager Admin Assistant, you will be responsible for performing the day to day finance operations based in a central location servicing all our Orchards and Packhouses. This position plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting the team to manage financial operations, including reconciliations, invoicing, and financial reporting. Working in a small, but close knit team you will be supported by others with long tenure and experience, as well as support from our parent company in New Zealand.
About this opportunity
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our office team.
Reporting to the Business Manager, in this role, you will:
Managing day-to-day accounts payable activities, including data entry, reconciliations, statements and preparing payments.
Process aspects of accounts receivable including sales orders, invoices and adjustments
Provide exceptional customer service and financial support to other members of the team and managers.
Reconcile and maintain financial data and records to assist with the weekly & monthly reporting.
Prepare bank payments and bank reconciliations.
Preparing and lodging BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, Superannuation and PAYG.
Manage weekly payroll requirements including audits to the relevant awards for casual and permanent staff, including overtime and leave management.
Support all business administration requirements in a central office
While some finance functions are managed by the Business Manager, you will play a key role ensuring financial records are accurate, timely and compliant
We are looking for someone with:
Qualifications or experience in financial accounts or a related field
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numerical data
Experience in processing financial accounts, customer service, and administration.
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proficiency with financial systems (MYOB preferred) and the Microsoft Office suite.
Experience working in payroll and/or understanding of the application of modern awards.
