About The Role
We are looking for a Finance Administration Assistant who has a passion and commitment to supporting the needs of people with a disability and will bring a ‘hands on’ professional approach to their role. You will be someone who is keen to work at all levels, including undertaking the day-to-day administration and financial duties of the organisation.
As a Finance Administration Assistant at Everyday Independence, no two days will be the same. If you were here last week, these are some of the things you may have done:
- Worked daily in the Xero accounting system
- Ensured all accounting data entries were promptly recorded into the system with high accuracy
- Communicated unusual data that requires attention to the relevant stakeholders
- Assisted the Finance Partner with month end reconciliation work to ensure data is reliable and useful for further analytical review work
- Verified invoices against purchase orders
- Communicated effectively with internal and external stakeholders via phone and email
- Assisted with collection activities and maintained the collection records as assigned by the Finance Partner
- Administration tasks which may have included posting of documents, photocopying, co-ordinating office purchases for Finance team, etc.

To be considered for this role you’ll need:
- Qualification in Finance or Accounting (preferred)
- Ability to use Xero accounting system is preferable although support and training will be provided
- Demonstrated ability to meet legislative, statutory and contractual obligations
- Highly developed organisational and administrative skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information
- A commitment to supporting the needs of people with a disability
- Must be a ‘hands on’ team member who is keen to work at all levels, including undertaking the day-to-day administration and financial duties
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with commitment and dedication
- Prior to commencement, you’ll also need to obtain a Working With Children’s Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
