Equipment Hire Controller / Customer Service Officer - Cairns

Flexihire is currently seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated person to join the team in our established Cairns branch. You will be part of a growing team with support from a total of 17 other branches throughout the state.

About the role:

Provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers.

Generate quotes, provide pricing and availability to clients and take the bookings of hire equipment.

Support a culture of upselling at every opportunity.

Co-ordinate deliveries and pick ups.

Learn about machinery from small hand tools to large compaction rollers & more.

Co-ordinating, assisting and liaising with mechanics in the workshop.

Assisting customers with loading and unloading equipment as well as the occasional delivery to customer sites

The key skills required for this role include:

Previous Hire Controlling or Hire industry experience very highly regarded.

Sound written and strong verbal communication skills

A proven ability to be adaptable to changing priorities and work conditions including the ability to both work as part of a team and to work autonomously to complete tasks within required timeframes.

Sound experience with IT applications including Microsoft suite.

Time management skills including the ability to plan ahead and reschedule in accordance with changes in priorities.

Ability to run reports, audit documentation and adhere to procedures
