Main Duties:

Assisting Customers Face to Face, Phone and Email using our Hire Management System (MCS).

Demonstration of safe use of equipment to customers.

Loading & Unloading Customers which includes manual handling.

Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25kg regularly

Assisting our Drivers with loading and unloading.

Stock Control - Ensure Hire Equipment is serviced in order to meet demand by prioritizing jobs.

Housekeeping of Yard Areas - Making sure equipment is stored correctly, advising customers where to park and ensuring yard access is not blocked.

Additional Duties:

Pre Hire / Ready to Rent Checks of Hire Equipment.

Basic Preventative Maintenance of Small Engine & Electrical Equipment.

Deliveries & Pickups including manual handling of equipment. You will need an Auto Drivers License minimum.

City Hire is a family business which has been operating from its Head Office at Kelvin Grove for over 40 years. Our products include General Tools, Scaffold, Access Equipment such as Cherry Pickers, Portable Toilets, Bobcats & Excavators.
Applicants must be:

Self motivated.

Well presented.

Punctual & Reliable.

Computer Literate.

Read (Yr 10 or equivalent level), Complete (Legible Handwriting) & Understand paperwork.

Not afraid to get your hands dirty and do what it takes to get the job done.

Training Provided:

General Knowledge of small engines mechanics or similar.

Knowledge of Builder/Handy Person Tools & Equipment.

Knowledge of local area suburb locations will be useful.

Our Fleet of delivery vehicles included both Auto and Manual so please apply even if you only have an Auto License.

Please advise us in your application if you have a Forklift Ticket &/or Truck License.These are not essential to start the job and City Hire will consider funding these qualifications during your ongoing employment.
