We’re looking for a Manager Internal Communications and Events with a passion for driving outcomes through impactful employee engagement. This role provides the opportunity to use your strategic prowess, experience supporting organisational change and exceptional creativity to deliver communications that foster a cohesive and informed workforce.
The role
In this role in our Communications and Marketing Division you’ll lead the development and implementation of internal communication strategies that drive employee engagement, support our strategic priorities and help our employees to thrive. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, you’ll find ways to express complex ideas simply and deliver engaging and compelling communications that resonate with our people.
What you’ll do:
- Design and deliver a comprehensive internal communications strategy that aligns with organisational priorities and enhances employee engagement.
- Create clear, consistent, and engaging messaging across internal channels, including email, intranet, newsletters, presentations, video, town hall meetings, and internal events.
- Ensure all internal communications align with editorial style guidelines, accessibility standards, and organisational branding.
- Prepare outcomes-based internal communications plans to support major strategic, operational and change programs.
- Organise and deliver virtual and in-person employee events that strengthen company culture and foster inclusivity.
- Plan and execute engaging virtual and in-person employee events that enhance company culture, foster inclusivity, and build a sense of community.
- Oversee internal communication channels, conduct content audits, and recommend improvements to ensure effective message delivery.
- Develop feedback mechanisms, such as surveys and focus groups, to measure communication effectiveness and produce insights for continuous improvement.
- Maintain and update content calendars to provide long term visibility of internal key messages, events, and campaigns, ensuring strategic alignment and consistency.

What you will bring to the role

- Demonstrate advanced technical communication skills and can confidently communicate with senior stakeholders.
- Have a creative flare and desire to explore new ways to engage with employees that aligns with strategic intent.
- Possess strong leadership skills and proven ability to support others to thrive.
- Are experienced with Microsoft communication tools while being on the lookout new technology that can make an impact.
- Provide exceptional customer service in the way you deliver on projects and build relationships to continually improve the impact of communications
- Are highly organised and can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key knowledge and experience
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, or a related field and/or demonstrated management experience in a similar position.
- Extensive experience leading and managing the development and delivery of internal and change communications in a complex, geographically dispersed organisation.
Essential Requirement:
- Ability to be on call as required outside of normal working hours as required.
