Local Land Services (LLS) is looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader Communications to help shape and deliver engaging and high-quality corporate and internal communications that support staff, landholders, communities, and industry across NSW.
As part of the Organisational Strategy and Performance division, you will lead a team to plan and deliver corporate communications initiatives (both internal and external). Your work will help ensure that staff, customers, stakeholders and communities understand and engage with the services and support we deliver across agriculture, biosecurity, natural resource management and more.
As Team Leader Communications you will:
- Lead and manage complex corporate and internal communication projects, working with internal and external stakeholders across the cluster
- Develop project plans, manage budgets, track progress and report on outcomes
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through effective negotiation, consultation and issues management
- Provide expert advice on project issues, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard
- Oversee research and analysis to inform communication and engagement strategies
- Inspire and manage a small team, supporting performance and development
We’re looking for someone with:
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, business management or relevant experience
- Proven ability to lead complex communication projects with multiple stakeholders
- Strong planning, prioritisation and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal – with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences
- A collaborative approach and strong ability to build and maintain relationships
- Leadership capability to motivate, develop and support your team
- Experience managing staff intranet systems would be valuable
- Graphic design experience would also be valuable
