Fuse Recruitment are seeking an experienced Project Manager in the events space for a permanent role located in Greenacre. Day shift, Monday to Friday Permanent role paying $100k + Super.

The Role: Project Manager - Events
The Project Manager is pivotal in both day-to-day and strategic management, coordinating and delivering customer event requirements. This role ensures the successful management and delivery of selected customer projects, providing high-end technical and event expertise from inception to final delivery. Responsibilities include supervising technicians in the delivery, installation, operation, and removal of event communications equipment for shows of any size and complexity.
In concert with the Events Manager, the Project Manager will set the standard for technical direction across the business. The role requires experience in event communications, a passion for working with people, and an interest in professional audio and communications technology in an ever-changing logistical environment. It involves planning, managing, and delivering solutions that meet business and customer expectations. On large projects, the role will manage commercial aspects, crewing, and scheduling, working collaboratively with the Technical Lead who will manage the technical designs undertaking system design, including configuration and programming of the project.
Your customers will include (but not limited to) sporting venues, stadiums, theatres, performing arts centre’s, houses of worship, schools, public precincts/conference centres, corporate facilities, parliaments, TV studios and councils.
Role Duties:
- Event Specifications: Create event designs based on customer requirements and ensure cost estimates stay within budget parameters.
- Event Scheduling: Develop and maintain event schedules, estimating labour, equipment, and transport requirements.
- Crew Allocation: Allocate crew to ensure successful event delivery.
- Capital Recommendations: Make recommendations to the Events Manager regarding capital purchases of technical equipment.
- On-Site Event Management: Communicate show briefs to venues, crew and suppliers on the day of the event and coordinate event progress to meet client expectations.
- Client Meetings: Attend client meetings and briefings as required.
- Quality Control: Ensure quality control by following job checking procedures.
- Issue Resolution: Follow up on any event issues with the appropriate people. Resolve problems and conflicts arising within projects/events under your direct control.
- Leadership: Display effective leadership skills to ensure optimum performance from the crew.
- Collaboration: Work in collaboration with stakeholders to resolve conflicts, address issues, and ensure smooth event delivery.
- Technical Work: Carry out on-site technician work, including deployment and delivery of networked CCTV, RF, audio, and comms systems for events.
- Safety Compliance: Undertake Take 5’s, safety audits, toolbox talks and show reports. Ensure compliance with and promote health and safety requirements for individual events.
- Job Bookings: Create job bookings in Current-RMS and track inventory.
- Standards Implementation: In concert with the Manager, Event Communications, implement Event Comms standards and work practices.
- Technical Support: Assist Technical Account Managers (as required) in designing, specifying, and providing professional cost estimates to customers for events.
- Documentation: Develop, produce, and implement documentation that supports the standards of on-site delivery and asset management.
- Briefing Information: Complete and provide briefing information to technical staff, including work sheets, production schedules, schematics, and client run sheets.
- Post-Event Reports: Receive and monitor post-event reports, documenting changes for future events and continuous improvement.
- Product Knowledge: Achieve and retain a prominent level of product knowledge of equipment/items within the Event Communication division.
The Candidate:
To be successful in obtaining this role you will also have the following experience:
- 5+ Years experience in the Audio-Visual industry / Events space
- 5+ years project management experience in the events space
- Qualifications in Project management will be highly regarded
- Experience delivering client focused solutions for customer needs
- Supervisory skills across problem solving, training and motivating staff and conflict resolution
- Experience in specifying and designing Pro audio communication systems
- Have a solid understanding with best practice work health and safety coupled with the development of safe work method statements for events and holding of Take 5 and Toolbox Talks
- Proven ability to project manage live events in high pressure environments to tight deadlines.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and project management skills
- Proficient across the Microsoft Office 365 suite
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, delivering to agreed outcomes
- Strong people skills and ability to build a rapport with others and an ability work collaboratively with the wider organisation
- Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to negotiate and communicate (in writing and verbally) with all levels of stakeholders, both internal and external

- Current NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
