About the role
As a Guest Service Agent (GSA) - Front Office at the Landmark Resort in Nelson Bay NSW, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all guests. This casual role is an integral part of the Front Office team, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for every visitor to our resort. The ability to implement and maintain a high standard of customer service in all areas of our operation is a must.
What you'll be doing
- Greeting and welcoming guests upon arrival, checking them in and out efficiently and courteously
- Handling guest inquiries, requests and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner
- Promoting the resort's facilities, services and special offers to enhance guest satisfaction
- Providing customer service, including answering phones and responding to emails
- Undertaking general office duties, including daily banking transactions
- Adhering to all hotel policies, procedures and brand standards
- Liaise closely with all departments in the hotel, particularly housekeeping and maintenance
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, ideally in a front office or reception environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with guests from diverse backgrounds
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to handle guest issues effectively
- Proficient in using hotel management software (Hirum) and technology an advantage
- Flexible and adaptable to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- A friendly, professional and customer-focused attitude
- Enthusiastic and motivated team player
