Position Overview:
We are seeking Part time/Casual Front Office Receptionists to join our team at Quest Wollongong. In this role, you’ll be the face of the hotel, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional experience from check-in to check-out. Responsibilities include handling reservations, managing front office duties, processing payments, and responding to guest inquiries with a friendly and proactive approach.
Responsibilities:
· Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and ensure a smooth check-in process
· Assist with guest inquiries, providing information on hotel services, amenities, and local attractions
· Handle reservations, check-outs, and payment processing efficiently and accurately
· Update records in the hotel’s reservation system as needed
· Respond promptly to guest requests, resolving issues to ensure satisfaction
· Manage room allocations, rooming lists, and booking charts
· Coordinate room service and manage orders with local restaurant partners
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
· Adhere to hotel policies and procedures while delivering excellent service
· Manage opening and closing procedures (AM and PM shifts)
Requirements:
· Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, or customer service is essential
· Completion or ongoing study of a Hotel or Tourism degree/diploma is advantageous
· Proven experience in a role requiring responsibility and attention to detail
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a guest-focused attitude
· Proficiency with reservation or booking systems and computer applications
· Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
· Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
· A positive attitude and commitment to delivering outstanding service
· Must be available to work a range of shifts Monday to Friday, weekends, and public holidays
· General shift times are from 8 am - 3 pm and from 3 pm - 9 pm
