Mercure Centro is a 72-room hotel in the heart of Port Macquarie and proud winner of the 2025 Coastline Bank Greater Port Macquarie Business Awards for Accommodation. We’re looking for a confident and capable Guest Service Agent to join our welcoming and high-performing Front Office team on a casual basis.
At Mercure, the GSA role is so much more than check-ins and check-outs. Our Front Office team also manages all hotel reservations - including individual bookings, group stays, and function enquiries- so the ability to stay organised and think on your feet is essential. Just as important is your approach: we value team members who lead with compassion, communicate with warmth, and know how to make every guest feel genuinely seen and welcome from the moment they arrive.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Handling the full reservations process including phone, email, and OTA bookings
Managing input, changes, confirmations, and upselling opportunities
Providing warm, professional service to all guests and delegates
Managing check-ins, check-outs, payments, and guest accounts
Supporting functions and events through rooming lists and arrival organisation
Using Protel PMS and Accor systems for guest records and reporting
Working closely with Housekeeping, Events, and F&B to deliver a seamless guest experience
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:
Have experience in reservations or admin-heavy hospitality roles
Are confident managing bookings, guest communications, and last-minute changes
Are tech-savvy and eager to learn new systems
Enjoy being part of a small, close-knit team and jumping in where needed
Have full Australian working rights and flexibility across a rotating roster
Communicate clearly and present with confidence and professionalism
