Position Profile:

The primary responsibility of the Clinical Nurse is to manage, coordinate and deliver comprehensive evidence based nursing care for patients, using leadership and advanced nursing skills and knowledge relevant to the critical care setting. To provide competent, evidence based nursing care within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse. To provide clinical supervision for registered nurses enrolled nurses, unregulated care workers and students.

To be successful you will have:

  • Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Possession of, or substantial progress towards, the attainment of a certificate, diploma or masters in Child & Adolescent Community Health Nursing (or equivalent) through an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated well developed interpersonal skills and ability to communicate across a diverse spectrum of the population.
  • Understanding of the principles and practice of Primary Health Care and the application to practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of cultural issues and social determinants particularly relating to Aboriginal and culturally and linguistically diverse communities in regional/rural areas.
