- Support nursing and midwifery students’ clinical skills development

Role Overview
The Clinical Practice Facilitator is a Registered Nurse who works collaboratively with industry, permanent and sessional staff to support the nursing and midwifery clinical skills development of entry-to-practice nursing students.
Reporting to the Clinical Practice Manager, the Clinical Practice Facilitator (Nursing) has a key role in certifying all students enrolled in all entry to practice courses within the School of Nursing and Midwifery can demonstrate competence in clinical skills. The role supports teaching and assessment by certifying that clinical skills can be demonstrated in workshops for all practicum units, inclusive of low-high fidelity simulation activities, as well as providing the site-based clinical facilitation and supervision of students while undertaking clinical placement.
The School of Nursing and Midwifery provides a comprehensive range of academic programs to prepare health professionals for positions in nursing and midwifery. The School has a commitment to developing strong partnerships locally, nationally, and internationally through its collaboration with health professions, industry, and the broader community.
Applicants should please note they will be required to travel to and work from various metropolitan health sites, as their ordinary place of work to visit students on practicum.
Key Criteria
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing and/or Midwifery) or equivalent Postgraduate qualification. Eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- WA National Police Clearance
- Department of Health Western Australia Criminal Screening Clearance
- Working with Children Check
- Evidence of immunisation screening clearance as per Department of Health Guidelines
- Current CPR Certificate and Manual/Patient Handling Certificate
- Respirator Fit Test
- NDIS Clearance

Benefits & Remuneration
This ongoing, part-time (0.9 FTE) position attracts a salary of $104,030 to $116,563 PA (PRO RATA 90%) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
