About the Role
As the Sales and Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating sales and marketing initiatives to position Shangri-La Sydney as the destination of choice for discerning travellers, event organisers, and partners. You will play a pivotal role in delivering revenue growth, enhancing brand visibility, and ensuring the highest standards of excellence that guests have come to expect from Shangri-La.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies to drive occupancy, revenue, and brand engagement.
• Manage pricing structures, sales policies, and promotional campaigns to maximise profitability and market share.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform business decisions and stay ahead in Sydney’s luxury hospitality landscape.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities, key partnerships, and market segments.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with VIP clients, corporate accounts, event planners, and travel industry partners.
• Work closely with operational leaders to ensure seamless guest experiences and alignment with brand standards.
• Represent senior management in their absence and uphold Shangri-La’s reputation for service excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to elevate guest satisfaction and staff performance.
About You
• Proven experience in sales and marketing leadership within a luxury hotel or hospitality environment.
• Exceptional understanding of the Sydney market and its unique challenges and opportunities.
• Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of delivering results and exceeding targets.
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
