We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Procurement Licensing Officer to lead sourcing strategies and manage all stages of the procurement lifecycle. The successful candidate will play a key role in controlling procurement and licensing activities relating to facilities and construction projects, ensuring that all contractor licences and funding arrangements are compliant with NSW Government policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

Provide expert sourcing and licensing advice to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, while supporting cost-effective and high-quality procurement outcomes.

Develop and implement modern sourcing strategies and procurement plans to meet operational needs and deliver savings in line with regulatory and policy requirements.

Offer strategic guidance to stakeholders on procurement sourcing, promoting best practices and alignment with departmental procurement objectives.

Prepare, negotiate, and manage supplier agreements to uphold ethical standards, ensure accountability, and support sound financial decision-making.

Identify and manage procurement risks, evaluate sourcing activities, and contribute to continuous improvement and governance reporting initiatives.

You

Demonstrated experience in procurement within government or regulated sectors.

In-depth knowledge of NSW Government procurement regulations, compliance obligations, and licensing requirements.

Proven ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and lead successful negotiations.

Self-motivated and capable of delivering high-quality outcomes independently under tight deadlines.

Skilled in procurement analysis, documentation, risk management, and maintaining governance records for infrastructure or public sector projects.
