About the Role

Are you passionate about ensuring responsible development and protecting communities? We are seeking a skilled Senior Development Assessment Compliance Officer to lead compliance monitoring and regulation of major development projects.

Key accountabilities include:

• Lead complex investigations into development approvals and ensure compliance with planning laws.
• Review post-approval reports and take enforcement actions on breaches, including legal steps if necessary.
• Provide expert advice to internal teams, developers, and external stakeholders on compliance matters.
• Prepare clear, concise reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with various teams and agencies to improve operational processes and outcomes.

About You

• Degree in law, planning, environmental management, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of environmental and planning legislation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel (minimum Class C Driver’s Licence required).
