About the Role We’re currently seeking a Senior Payroll Officer to join a high-performing payroll team during an exciting phase of system enhancement and transformation. Working with a collaborative and supportive team, you’ll be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 2,000 employees using Preceda.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a critical business function while contributing to HRIS and payroll process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time using Preceda
• Ensure compliance with ATO, Fair Work, EBAs, Awards, superannuation, and relevant legislation
• Handle payroll adjustments including terminations, redundancies, and parental leave
• Conduct regular payroll audits and maintain data integrity
• Provide payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Partner with HR, IT, and Finance during HRIS upgrades and system transitions
• Act as a point of escalation for complex payroll queries
• Support training and documentation of payroll procedures
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and internal control enhancements

About You

• Proven experience using Preceda in a large or complex payroll environment
• In-depth knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, taxation, and superannuation
• Excellent attention to detail and deadline-driven mindset
• Experience with system upgrades or HRIS transitions is highly regarded
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Comfortable working autonomously in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
