We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Principal Community Infrastructure Planner to join a City Strategy team. In this key role, you will bring together various stakeholders, both internally and externally, to plan for the future infrastructure needs of Hume’s community. Your strategic vision will drive the development and delivery of essential community services and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning for Community Infrastructure:

Build and maintain productive relationships with teams in the City Services and Living Division.

Collaborate with partner Councils, State agencies, and developers to facilitate integrated planning for community infrastructure.

Develop and maintain a Community Infrastructure Plan for new and upgraded Council facilities.

Manage consultant projects to assess community infrastructure needs and ensure the timely provision of services.

Prepare documentation and best practices for community infrastructure planning, considering the needs of the community and service providers.

Analyze and forecast community infrastructure requirements based on new developments and changing service standards.

Partnership Development:

Establish partnerships with external service providers and stakeholders for consistent information exchange in community infrastructure planning.

Assist in attracting non-Council service providers to the City, particularly in growth areas.

Support State departments and other sectors in planning and delivering new community infrastructure.

Support for Infrastructure Delivery:

Provide data and information to advocate for State community infrastructure delivery.

Contribute to business cases, design briefs, and operational plans for community infrastructure projects.

Collaborate with partners to develop service plans and operational models for community facilities.

Assist in creating guidelines and standards for community infrastructure design and management.

Help evaluate the impact of decisions and investments on community infrastructure.
