BLACKROC have been engaged to help hire a Senior Cloud Engineer who thrives in stable yet evolving environments, someone who’s not just great at keeping things running, but constantly looking for ways to make them faster, leaner, and more cost-effective.

You’ll be joining a high-performing engineering team focused on platform excellence: performance tuning, cloud cost optimisation, automation, and enabling better developer experience.

The software is stable, the customer base is growing, and the platform is complex — with lots of interesting challenges around scalability, visibility, and environment management.

What you’ll be doing:

• Automating and improving the setup of customer-specific infrastructure environments
• Driving improvements in system visibility, service metrics, and operational performance
• Analysing and improving AWS infrastructure with a focus on performance and cost
• Spotting bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and improving them proactively
• Collaborating closely with other experienced engineers in a feedback-friendly environment
• Contributing to a better internal developer experience (e.g. boilerplate, spin-up processes, tooling)
