We are working with a well-established and innovative MSP that's been a key player in Brisbane’s tech scene for over 22 years. We are after a Network Engineer to join a team that prioritizes technical growth, diversity, and collaboration in a dynamic environment where creativity and innovation are encouraged. Location: Based at the Brisbane office, with potential for hybrid work for the right candidate.

The Role

As a Network Engineer, you’ll be integral to designing, building, deploying, and maintaining advanced network solutions across multiple platforms. We’re seeking someone with a solid managed services background who thrives in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment and enjoys tackling complex challenges.

• Design and implement high-performance network solutions for multi-site environments.
• Manage, maintain, and optimise existing LAN/WAN infrastructure, constantly looking for opportunities to innovate.
• Lead network projects from start to finish, including design, deployment, installation, and configuration.
• Build strong relationships with customers, providing expert guidance on both new and existing technologies to advance their technical strategies.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including Managed Services, to resolve issues and enhance network security.
• Provide Level 3 support and participate in an on-call roster, ensuring smooth operation of complex network environments.
• Visit client sites and data centers, delivering professional service excellence that drives business growth.

Please note: We are happy to look at good junior Network Engineer / System Administrators as long as you have 2 plus years Networking experience and are keen to grow and develop your skills in this space.

Your Profile

• Experience: Strong background in managing and troubleshooting complex network environments, with hands-on expertise in designing and deploying routing and switching solutions.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, combined with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
• Technical Expertise: Experience with a range of networking platforms and technologies, including:
• Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls (preferably CCNP or CCIE certified)
• Routing protocols like BGP and OSPF
• Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, HPE, and Aruba switching solutions
• Firewall technologies such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Sophos, and Cisco
• Network security, NAT, IPSec VPNs
• Telephony platforms like 3CX, CUCM, and Teams calling
• VMware networking and virtualisation
• Cloud networking with AWS and Azure
