Disability Support Worker
About the Role: We are seeking experienced Support Workers who are available to work sleepover shifts across a 24/7 roster, to join our team in Ballarat. You will be responsible for providing compassionate and personalised care to individuals with a disability, helping them to live independently & reach their goals.

Key Responsibilities
Develop meaningful and professional relationships with each participant, understanding their unique needs, goals, and daily living activities.
Assist with daily living activities such as mealtime management, administering medication, dressing, toileting, showering, household duties, and or other tasks as required.
Use positive reinforcement and behaviour management techniques to support participants with their routines and to achieve their goals.
Maintaining accurate and complete records of activities/goals via progress notes in line with organisational and legislative requirements
Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their individual needs are met with dignity and respect
Display a positive attitude and be an active member of the team.
Follow direction provided by senior members of the team and management.
Adhere to human resource policies, work health and safety procedures and participant right’s policies including privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications & Experience:
Must have flexible availability, with shifts including sleepovers and rotating weekends as part of the roster.
At least 6 months paid experience in a similar role and have a genuine desire to support people in their own homes.
Being adaptable & being able to prioritise work.
Current First Aid (Level 2) & CPR Certificates (or be willing to obtain)
Covid-19 Vaccinated (minimum- 2 Initial Doses preferred)
Current Valid Victorian Driver's License
Right to work in Australia
A current cleared NDIS Worker Screening Check (or be willing to obtain)
NDIS Workers Orientation Certificate
Be willing to complete or have completed 'Assist Clients with Medication Certificate'
Be willing to undertake further online and in person training
Ability to collaborate with others to achieve common goals.
Genuine desire to provide the best quality support for people with disabilities.
Clear speech and ability to communicate effectively
Participant focused and person centered.
Ability to work in a busy environment and to work both independently and as a part of a team.
