About the role

IDEA Innovative Disability Engagement Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in empowering and supporting individuals with disabilities in the Dandenong North VIC area.

What you'll be doing

Providing support with daily living activities, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and community engagement

Accompanying and supporting individuals in leisure and recreational activities to promote social inclusion and independence

Documenting and reporting on the progress and well-being of individuals in your care

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure the highest standards of care and safety

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a disability support or aged care role, with a demonstrated commitment to person-centred care

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with individuals in your care - Farsi Speaking will be highly regarded

A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities

Familiarity with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in the disability support sector

Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent

A valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle

Current First Aid & CPR, NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts.
