The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager within the hospitality industry to oversee and
co-drive the operations of the business in line with the company’s strategic plan. Reporting to the General Manager or in the absence the CEO, you will optimise the company’s operating capabilities, employ strategies to maximise client satisfaction, and manage marketing initiatives.
Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our restaurant
Develop and implement effective operational plans and policies to optimise efficiency, productivity, and profitability
Lead, motivate and develop a team of passionate hospitality professionals, ensuring high levels of customer service and staff engagement
Analyse key performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement, implementing data-driven solutions
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and legal regulations
Contribute to the planning and decision-making process as a member of the senior leadership team
Develop/plan menus in consultation with the Head Chef
Planning and organising special functions in consultation with the General Manager
Coordinate the procurement and pricing of goods according to restaurant’s budget
Maintaining records of stock levels and relevant financial transactions
Ensuring dining facilities not only comply but exceed industry health regulations, they are clean, functional and of exemplary appearance
Actively seeking feedback from customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service
Recruiting/selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff
Taking down reservations, greeting guests and assisting in taking orders as required
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
5 years or more in a senior operations management role within the hospitality industry
Proven track record of driving operational excellence and implementing successful strategies to improve efficiency and profitability
Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical capabilities, with a data-driven approach
Strong commercial acumen and financial management skills
Thorough understanding of hospitality industry regulations, standards, and best practices
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
