About the role

The Quality, Safety & Risk Compliance Coordinator provides essential oversight, compliance management, risk mitigation, continuous quality improvement, and comprehensive data management support to the QSR team and operational divisions. This role is pivotal in collating, organising, analysing, and reporting critical data related to quality outcomes, safeguarding protocols, and regulatory compliance whilst driving evidence-based continuous quality improvement activities. The position ensures accurate and timely reporting to the NDIS Commission and leads risk management, quality enhancement, and compliance initiatives across the organisation.

About you

An experience individual who can demonstrate awareness, understanding related to NDIS, who can provide comprehensive administrative support to the QSR team, who can undertake the tasks and responsibility with audit requirements.

  • Review, maintain, and enhance daily incident reporting processes, NDIS Commission incident reporting protocols, and restrictive practices reporting requirements
  • Develop, implement, and monitor sophisticated Clinical Risk, Continuous Quality Improvement, Work Health and Safety, and Restrictive Practices Registers
  • Conduct comprehensive consultation and provide expert recommendations on complex quality and practice issues to the Quality, Safety and Risk Manager, supporting evidence-based decision-making processes
  • Support innovative programmes to review, develop, test, and implement enhanced quality work practices and streamlined business processes
  • Provide authoritative advice and ongoing support to management and staff on quality assurance, safety protocols, and compliance-related matters, ensuring organisational capability and competence

In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience (disability / ageing / mental health / youth or relevant discipline)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience supporting people with complex support needs.
  • High level verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently deliver effective and engaging group and 1:1 training and develop high quality written training materials.
  • Experience in delivering continuous quality improvement actives, the provision of effective feedback, and the development of compliance resources.
  • Proficient computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office and other systems and databases and ability to quickly learn new systems.
