CPSN (Cerebral Palsy Support Network) is seeking an experienced Quality, Risk and Practice Lead to support CPSN's organisational practice and quality functions to ensure compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards.
This role is part-time (0.8 FTE / 4 days per week). There is a possibility that this (new to CPSN) role could increase to full-time hours after an assessment period of 6-12mths. We are a flexible organisation and are committed to providing flexible working options to all of our people.

We have been providing high quality support, information and services to people with cerebral palsy and their families for over 25 years.
CPSN operates as a remote organisation. Most of our team are located in Melbourne, however, we have staff and managers in South Australia, Queensland and country NSW. We are open to engaging employees from any State/Territory in Australia, noting that if you are not located in Melbourne, some travel will be required to maintain in-person connections.
The Role
As Quality, Risk and Practice Lead, you will work under the general direction of the General Manager, Shared Services. You will be responsible for implementing strategies and plans that ensure organisational and practice compliance.
You will have experience upholding human rights and ensuring supports are delivered safely and in the least restrictive framework.
The Quality, Risk and Practice Lead provides advice and guidance to organisation leaders to ensue safe and effective service delivery in accordance with practice and clinical governance frameworks.
You will facilitate internal audits to maintain organisation and service delivery integrity and will drive change through best practice mechanisms and frameworks.
Your key work area functions will include:
Practice Standards: Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and Skill Descriptors through audits, operational planning and implementation programs and policy and procedure guidance.
Monitoring Restrictive Practices: Serve as an organisation Authorised Program Officer (APO), ensuring the safe and effective delivery of any restrictive practices. Work with the Service Delivery team to ensure quality reporting for the use of restrictive practices. Operate in the least restrictive framework.
Governance Controls: Lead internal governance controls processes, facilitate periodic reviews and identify areas for continuous quality improvement.
Clinical Practice and Complex Supports: Work with key stakeholders to ensure clinical practice standards are upheld, including complex care and medication management. Support frontline workers to understand risks and key processes to ensure safe supports. Lead and support Trauma Informed practice.
Child Safe Practice: Maintain current and best-practice knowledge of Child Safe practices and legislation. Ensure CPSN is child-safe. Provide recommendations for the improvement of child safety in CPSN's services.
Risk Management: Work collaboratively with the Executive Team to ensure risks are identified and managed appropriately. Support organisation continuous quality improvement. Review policy and procedure to ensure best practice approaches and compliance with legislation. Identify themes and trends in incident reports and work collaboratively with teams and managers to mitigate or eliminate risks.
Work Health and Safety: Maintain safe working practices and support others to understand safety obligations and processes. Work collaboratively with Human Resources to manage Work Cover claims as required.
About You
You are experienced working in the disability, aged care, health or community sector(s). You have experience reviewing and leading quality processes and possess a strong understanding of NDIS legislation.
You bring:
Experience leading quality practice
Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and Skill Descriptors
Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously and possess the confidence to implement change
Experience managing organisational risk
A commitment to continuous improvement and client empowerment
