About the role

This role is for an Operations Manager within the company. The role requires you to deliver against the 4 pillars of the Operational Framework being service management, staff management, client management and business management.

The Operations Manager is responsible for job scheduling, growing the business and the team, with a strong focus on customer service. Reporting directly to the Managing director, the Operations Manager will be responsible for, human resources management including sub-contractors and labor hire, pricing/quoting, profit and margin control, and ensuring all projects are carried out in a safe and timely manner. The role involves dealing directly with our clients, as well as supporting the team to ensure they are providing excellent customer service, offering up the best solutions to our clients along with correct policy and procedure adherance.

The position requires the Operations Manager to be able to thrive in a busy environment and be responsible for Safety Leadership, People Leadership, Financial Management, Customer Service Leadership & Operational Excellence.

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Being responsible for the profit and efficiency of all operations
• Lead a team to achieve company and individual goals,
• Providing excellent customer service in all interactions with new and existing clients.

YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead, mentor and develop staff and operations workforce,
• Possess a ‘hands on’ management approach and willingness to facilitate high levels of customer service,
• Manage budgets, P&L and KPIs,
• Sound operational management experience demonstrating proactive behaviours,
• Strong people management experience - motivate your staff!
• Demonstrated sound commercial acumen,
• Sound communication and computer skills,
• Maintain a Safety First culture and commitment to yard safety,
• Asbostos/Hazardous waste or similar industry experience (desirable).

TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU WILL REQUIRE:

• Demonstrated experience leading a team in a Management/Supervisory role and the ability to effectively delegate, coach and train others,
• Strong financial skills, KPI driven and experience managing profit & loss,
• This role would suit an experienced asbestos operations manager or a project manager with a construction background who is looking to further their career
