Whitsunday Transit operates a fleet of 50 buses in the Whitsunday Region. We provide public transport, school and airport services to Airlie Beach and Proserpine as well as charter on a regional basis.

We are a family owned and operated business employing 60 staff across driving, maintenance, administration and marketing roles.

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our operations team. Working with our Senior Operations Manager and our Operations Support Manager you will, in conjunction the the team be responsible for the day to day operations of our bus fleet.

This will include the safe and efficient operation of our services and the management of our drivers. Compliance with Queensland Transport regulations and liaison with the Maintenance Manager to maintain the proper condition and presentation of our fleet are also vital parts of the role.

You will be responsible for maintaining positive working relationships with the schools in our area, local council and Queensland Transport. Additionally, you will help drive customer service levels across our organisation.

Ideally your experience should be in a similar role in our industry, although experience in an operations type role involving different types of vehicles or vessels would also be beneficial.

This role is part of a rotating roster that does include some weekend work and also being on-call after hours on a rotating basis.
