About Us:
Yanco Creek and Tributaries Advisory Council Inc is a mission-driven, non-profit landholder organisation dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability, biodiversity conservation, healthy waterways and climate resilience through community-led initiatives within our footprint. With a focus on empowering landholders and local communities to gain positive change across diverse ecosystems along 600kms of inland creeks. We work closely with many agencies and Landcare, which is demonstrated in our quarterly newsletters and on our website.
Location: Narrandera, Jerilderie, Deniliquin or surrounding areas
Employment Type: Part time 28 hours per week (flexible hours) + project work

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and implement environmental projects focused on riparian conservation, sustainability, and community engagement.
Collaborate with local landholders and communities, partner NGOs, government agencies, and grant funders.
Conduct site visits and hands on work, baseline assessments, and impact evaluations around riparian zones.
Develop project documentation including proposals, work plans, budgets, and progress reports.
Monitor and report on project outcomes, ensuring alignment with donor and organizational requirements.
Generate grant writing, and funder reporting processes.
Promote environmental awareness and advocacy through workshops, campaigns, and outreach activities.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Qualification in Environmental Science, Conservation, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
At least two years’ experience in project coordination or implementation within an environmental or development organisation.
Strong understanding of environmental challenges and sustainable development practices, particularly around waterways.
Proven ability to work effectively with local communities and diverse stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in report writing and funder communications.
Willingness and ability to work in field settings in the Southern Riverina and travel as required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with mapping or monitoring tools is an advantage.
Proficiency in utilising technology programs to enhance productivity.
Drivers licence and access to vehicle.
Desirable Qualifications:
Degree in Environmental Science, Conservation, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
