Our client, a large complex Queensland Government department, are currently seeking a Principal Infrastructure Services Officer – School Maintenance Operations for an initial 2-year contract.

Description

The Principal Infrastructure Services Officer - Maintenance Operations will plan and report on maintenance programs, develop and review policies and procedures for the improvement of maintenance programs and provide high level advice on maintenance strategies.

The Maintenance and Improvement team, Infrastructure Services Division, manages the planning and delivery of maintenance programs for schools, staff housing and early childhood education and care centres. You will be joining a team that is committed to the continuous improvement of our policies and processes and the professional development of team members.

Duties

• Develop policies, strategies and program plans for the management of the division’s maintenance programs.
• Evaluate maintenance programs and policies to make sure that they are meeting their objectives and propose improvements to programs as a result of the evaluations.
• Develop and review methodologies for the allocation of maintenance funding to schools
• Develop business rules, including performance indicators, to manage the business relationship with our major service delivery partner, QBuild.
• Lead a small team responsible for the long-term planning of maintenance programs by developing a forward pipeline of work.
• Lead and coordinate the production of regular, high level quality reports for internal and external clients including senior management
• Analyse data from the Asset Life Cycle Assessment process to develop long-term strategies for investment in maintenance
• Provide high level strategic advice on the development of asset maintenance policies that will contribute to lifecycle planning of the department’s assets.
• Prepare and coordinate ministerial correspondence and briefing material and reports relating to the department’s maintenance programs and provide input to policy development.

• Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary strategies and concepts associated with asset management
• Ability to plan and report on maintenance programs

Casual Loading
