Lead maintenance planning to Queensland's schools operating at their best.
We're looking for a skilled professional to assist in planning and coordinating statewide maintenance programs for schools, early childhood centres and staff housing.
Based in Brisbane's CBD and with some travel to regional areas, you'll develop forward maintenance plans, policies and funding models that ensure Queensland's educational facilities remain safe, functional and fit for purpose. You'll provide expert advice to senior leaders and work closely with regional teams, schools and key partners to deliver effective, value-for-money maintenance solutions.
What you'll do:
Lead high-level planning for maintenance programs across Queensland's school and early learning infrastructure.
Provide expert advice to senior executives, Regional Directors and school leaders on maintenance strategies, policies and program performance.
Participate in and lead project teams developing and reviewing policies, procedures and long-term planning tools that guide our maintenance programs.
Develop funding methodologies, reporting tools and forward work pipelines aligned with strategic priorities.
Work collaboratively with internal delivery partners to ensure effective program delivery and performance tracking.
Contribute innovative and practical solutions to infrastructure and planning challenges across a broad range of maintenance-related issues.
What we're looking for:
Demonstrated experience in asset maintenance planning within a government context-experience in education or health infrastructure is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of infrastructure lifecycle planning, asset maintenance principles, and program delivery in a public sector setting.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with education sector representatives and service delivery partners.
Ability to lead or contribute to multidisciplinary teams and influence policy, funding and planning decisions.
Qualifications in asset management, facilities management, accounting or project planning, or a related field would be an advantage.
The successful applicant will form a part of a growing Maintenance Operations team dedicated to long-term planning, continuous improvement, and supporting frontline education through well-managed infrastructure. On offer are flexible work conditions, meaningful projects, and the opportunity to influence how public education facilities are maintained and sustained across the state.
