About our client:
Our client is a large accounting firm based in Perth's CBD. They specialise in business services, tax, SMSF, and advisory services to SME businesses.
The Business Services team consists of 5 Partners, 1 Principle, 3 Managers, 15 accountants, bookkeepers and admin support. They have a few accountants based in the Philippines for additional support.

About the position:
This is an exciting permanent opportunity for an experienced Intermediate or Senior Business Services Accountant to work an established national accounting firm and progress their career.

The position is to work predominately with 2 Partners, alongside an experienced Managers. The firm operates a pool system with the accountants to ensure variety on client exposure.

The firm use APS software and plan to transition to another software provider in the future. For Super, they use BGL software and outsource 200 funds to an Australian based company.

Specialising in the SME client space, the client portfolio ranges from large property groups, airports, indigenous businesses, doctors, engineers, lawyers and so on, predominately based within Western Australia. Some of the larger client range from $300 million to $1 billion turnover.

At present the work load is 60% compliance and 40% advisory, although there is a huge opportunity to increase the advisory offerings provided by the firm.

Our client is keen to employ an individual that would like to become a Partner within the company.

Requirements:

• Have full working rights in Australia - Permanent Resident or Citizen
• Reside within Australia
• Ideally 2+ years experience in an Australian accounting firm
• Degree qualified in accounting or related course
• Ideally studying CA or CPA
• Strong verbal and written English skills
