Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports

Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded

Process invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations

Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements

BAS and IAS reconciliation and preparation. Assist with tax lodgements and compliance requirements

Update financial data in databases to ensure information is accurate and immediately available

Preparing client monthly financial reports

Payroll & Superannuation compliance work. Payroll tax.

Liaise with relevant government organisations such as the ATO, SRO and ASIC.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field

2-3 years of relevant accounting experience

Understanding of Australian accounting, financial principles and tax laws

Proficiency in MS Excel and Xero accounting software (also preferably Jim 2 Software)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Must be an Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen
