- Sydney Based. 12-month contract initially. $175-200k + Super.
The Role
Provide risk leadership across end-to-end merger program including business integration, regulatory uplift, systems migration, people & culture, operations, finance, and customer experience. Ensure the program is delivered within the Risk Management Framework, in line with regulatory obligations and Board-approved risk appetite.
- Lead and coordinate Risk in Change activities across all Merger Program streams and workstreams.
- Collaborate with teams and SMEs to identify and assess delivered risks and delivery risks during discovery, design, execution, transition, and post-implementation.
- Align risk activities with risk appetite and regulatory expectations.
- Facilitate Risk in Change assessments and contribute to Change Impact Assessments.
- Identify risks and control gaps early, providing expert advice on mitigation strategies.
- Track residual risks and escalate risk acceptances for review when necessary.
- Support operational readiness reviews and transition to BAU risk assessments.
- Provide consolidated risk reporting and timely insights for Committees and Board.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in enterprise risk management, preferably within banking or other highly regulated financial services industry (mergers/acquisition or separation is a plus)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability across business and project teams.
- Solid understanding of relevant Australian laws and regulations, industry codes, standards, prudential requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective workplace relationships.
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and be able to demonstrate sound judgment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
- A passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering solutions that meet the needs of customers.
