Are you ready to lead the charge in shaping a risk-aware culture across a dynamic and diverse organisation? As the Enterprise Risk Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and embedding systemic risk management practices at Lake Macquarie City Council. This role partners with senior leaders to identify challenges and opportunities, drive enterprise-wide risk capability uplift, and deliver high-quality risk reporting to the Executive and Council’s Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee.
You’ll be part of the Integrity and Risk team, supporting ethical, timely, and evidence-based decision-making across Council.

LET’S HEAR ABOUT YOU
We’re seeking a strategic thinker with university level qualifications in business, risk management or equivalent, complemented by extensive experience in leading enterprise risk initiatives within diverse and complex organisations. You’ll bring a deep understanding of modern risk frameworks and methodologies, and a proven track record of driving cultural change and enhancing organisational risk maturity.
Your analytical acumen will enable you to translate data into meaningful insights, while your ability to build strong relationships particularly with senior leaders, will support collaborative and informed decision-making. Adaptability and a customer-focused mindset are key, as you’ll be navigating a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Ideally, you’ll also have familiarity with local government operations, experience in publicly accountable settings, and knowledge of NSW’s risk management guidelines.

Competitive salary from $127,635 to $148,333 per annum plus superannuation
