JOIN OUR TEAM OF COMPASSIONATE COMMUNITY NURSES

This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, and Fixed Term Part Time appointments with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Position Profile: Are you a compassionate nurse eager to make a significant impact on the lives of young people? An exciting opportunity exists within Perth's Secondary Schools (North and South Metro regions) to move away from shift work and embrace family-friendly hours (Monday-Friday, 8 am-4 pm). This vital role allows you to apply your nursing skills directly to improving the health and wellbeing of school aged children, contributing to brighter futures for them and their families.

Your expertise will be essential in providing health education to students, championing the school-based immunisation program, offering compassionate, non-judgemental guidance on coping skills, resilience and adolescent growth, referring students and families to appropriate external services for additional support when needed, and empowering students to thrive in their educational setting. You'll act as a crucial link, supporting and consulting with school staff to foster an inclusive, safe, and nurturing learning environment. This involves advocating for students, promoting health awareness, and ensuring adherence to important legislative and safety standards within the school community.

This position is more than just a job; it's a chance to be part of a dedicated team focused on providing higher levels of support to improve long-term health and educational outcomes for vulnerable children. If you are a passionate nurse with experience working with children and adolescents, possess a collaborative spirit, and are committed to holistic care, we encourage you to apply. Become a cornerstone of support and help empower the next generation of school-aged children.
