Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is proud to partner with the local government to appoint a temporary Service Manager – Corporate Finance. This role is offered as a casual-based contract for 3-months (36.25hr a week)

About the Role
As the Service Manager – Corporate Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering core financial services including:

• Corporate taxation advisory and compliance
• Statutory financial reporting and reconciliations
• Capital and asset accounting
• Treasury management and cash flow forecasting

You will also lead and support a dedicated team, contribute to organisational strategy, and ensure compliance with key accounting standards and legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of financial reporting, taxation, treasury, and asset accounting functions.
• Lead a team across Taxation & Treasury, Financial Reporting, and Asset Accounting.
• Drive improvements in reporting, systems, and financial outcomes.
• Provide strategic financial insights to stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and Local Government legislation.
• Build a culture of collaboration, learning, and professional development.

About You You’re a proven financial leader who thrives in complex environments and brings a commercial mindset to the public sector. You’ll have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, or a related field
• CPA/CA qualification
• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
• Experience leading diverse finance teams in complex organisations
• Advanced skills in financial systems (Finance One preferred)
• Strong understanding of asset management, taxation compliance, and treasury practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
